3rd day & counting…

•November 11, 2009 • Leave a Comment

I’m on my 3rd day of dieting straight after the day of my birthday… Been eating really healthy and not really eating all at the same time. Causes, I’m on a vegetables & fruits diet and I can only have V&F abd maybe add a little soy bean, doufu & egg. However, surprisingly on my 2nd day of dieting I don’t feel hungry at all cos I’m overly stressed over work. (Tracy is going on leave soon so she had to pass over her group to me before going off back home in Malaysia.)

Dieting will end on 23 Nov. Counting down: 12 days.

My birthday was surprisingly nice. I guess because I had HOGC bro & sis to celebrate it from me. Birthday gift includes a Dessert recipe book & a VCD of Pst Kong preaching. My special day starts only in the afternoon where I had beehoon, red eggs (a must in all birthdaes in my family traditions practiced strictly by my mum. hoho!) & birthday cake. Follow by church svc -> E Zone welcome party -> dinner at NewYorkNewYork in Marina Sq. -> KTV till 5am. <— reason behind why I only start blogging later after 3 days after my birthday cos I’m on recovering my beauty sleep. lol!

Now is 0930hrs.
A few things I need to do till work @ 1130hrs.
-Put on make-up
-Return & Borrow Library Books
-Buy stockings (maybe in bugis)
-Go Bodyshop see if can get christmas gift beforehand, since I would get 20% discount on birthday month (maybe in bugis too!)

Don’t know if I have enough time…
So I have to get with it now!!! ciaoz!!

As I sat here in the kitchen baking M&M cookies…

I hope it (the cookies) turns out well
I was face to face with a truth: I’m 24 now.
I am very sleepy
The ones in the oven are just my first batch
They are thick, doubt the inside is done

hmmmzzz… waiting.. waiting..

Not so Awesome… But Great!

Miss the people at my old workplace. I miss them so much. The fun, joy laughter, accompany… yada yada yada… Something I really didn’t miss is the horrible environment created by the management. Lots of straining and stretching of endurance on a daily basis.

It’s been a month plus since I started this new job. Awesome now cos I didnt really have to face the “lao sai” outside at the front desk. But I still had to continuously decoding their language to understand that “chimaology” those “lao sais” were speaking and tons of patience to ask them to PROPERLY differentiate their “R” & “L” or their “J” & “G”. I have to affirm the dreadful-ness of their accents…

example:
ME: Sir, could you spell your name for me please?
LS: R for Randon, Ae for Arpple, O for Oriange, next word, S for Summer, Ae for Arpple again, I for India. It’s RAO SAI!

It’s all the “rao sai” makes me want to run to toilet sometimes to really “lao sai”.

Gaining too much weight in not just numbers but size. Can really start to see my arm doubling & then tripling their size. I’m going to propose down-sizing of my ‘company’ after my brithday. It had to work with minimum ’salaries’ cos I refuse to look like a khaki green ugly humongous troll by the time I reach my 25th. It’ll be sucha nightmare and I shall remain unwanted, depressed all my life.

Guess WAD? I still @ work.

Hoo-hoo still in the office.
Counting down to 3 more days to me turning 42yrs old! Aiyer, ok la I turning 24yrs old ONI la! But u can’t blame me for feeling old. How can I not when every week I’m going in an out of a youthful church. I see those youngster running around I knew I could no longer run around like they do. I have to act mature, act my age even though I’m super capable of acting like some crazy rubbish talking teen.

On top of it all I have 2 weddings to attend this mth & the next. How the hell I’m gonna feel alright when it’s like as if everyone is getting married?

I wanted the year to end at the same time I wanted my birthday to never come…

-BRB later when I got home. Finally knocking off from work!-

Regret posting up the previous post. I look just as ugly as any of those 没有那么漂亮的女人.

Put thru horrible pressure today cos work seems like never ending… and while doing the never ending work comes the non-stop ringing phone. It got so bad that “the essence of my true self” revealed to me that I had not been bothered about my tone of voice and was pretty rude and very impatient with people on the line that did no wrong to me.

Pre-made Decision: Phonecalls are also a part of my work and even if everything seems too much just take it step by step no point rushing through them and makes mistake, rather take it slowly then stress myself over stupid things.

Omg birthday coming how? how? I’m growing older… I don’t want to turn 24!! My mum gave birth to me when she is 25 and I still single at 24. 鸡蛋糕!10 more years I would be infertile. LOL! Don’t know why in the hell I’m worried. I’m going to start to tell myself it’s awesome to be single and FREE!! FREEE… FRrrrreeeee….

Internet is super duper slow now…
I could imagine the radar is moving slowly second by second like snail.

Had to go to work in abt 20mins time.
I would believe that there is tons of work again today, cos Tracy & Radha (still) is on MC + Ailyn is on leave. I would not add on to how much work 3 people could do in 1 whole entire day.

Was looking through people via facebook makes me wonder 不太美的女人,可以找到伴侣 then what the hell I’m still single? KNS!

City Skylines from Marina Barrage

Went Marina Barrage with Lien on 261009 to pre-celebrate our birthday… which is like 1-2 weeks from then. Not very excited to celebrate birthday anymore… I’m only turning 24 and I already feeling like as if I’m turning 42. How horrible. HOWEVER, Marina Barrage is amazing!! (ok la, it’s because we go down there on the right time. it’s all in the natural setting.)

We watched Julie & Julia prior to that…

Movie Title: Julie And Julia
Time/Date: forgot time/26 Oct’09
Price: $7.50
Place: Eng Wah, Suntec
Buddies: Lien

Well, if you know me well I love baking. So I enjoy this movie a bit more than most people should. I do still find it a little long winded, as the story goes about how Julie Powell had gone thru thick and thin sticking on to the 536 recipes within 345 days while blogging it down. *so inspiring* I mean I definately couldnt do that myself… that take horrigible amount of discipline. (just in case you havent caught the “true life story” part) I have found Julie Powell’s real life blog page… how true? you just got to check it out and gauge them yourself.

The Julie/Julia Project

Ok I like this so much I got myself the story book… (ask me after I finish the reading the book, if you want to know if it is drastically different from the movie. Or even better go buy it yourself and read)

My Sisters Keeper

Very touching movie. I have read the book very long ago… but I just can’t remember they had a brother or the exact ending of the story. Well ME the muddle-head. An awesome awesome movie about how Anna keep Katie alive by continuously contributing bone marrow, blood and stuffs. It’s so touching that you got to watch it. Ok, fine if you’re a guy you can be exempted! Don’t do these touchy stuffz right?

Bakes a Bakes Bakes

I made chocolate truffles today…

based on Chocolate Mint Truffles Recipe. I didn’t add mint extract because I couldnt find them in the regular supermarket. They still taste great anyway…(even though the chocolate didnt melt totally…) It taste like the Royce chocolate I bought few months back. Baking em, is just as expensive. Believe me.

Ok I have no idea what the title got anything to do with the post. Just that this song lyric is stuck into my head.

Watching movie at such time is always expensive.  If you hold a UOB debit/credit card you get $8/tix over in Cathay. This movie is worth watching, anyway. If you have watched enough share of movies in regards to “end of the world” genre, you have not watched the real ones until you have watched this. Most of these movies as of such did not have enough substantial story line, however this have the usual great digital effects as well like awesome story lines that brings abit of laughter and a few rounds of tears.  Believe me it’s totally AWEsome!

Sweet Bones

Sweet Bones

Tried baking the “Sweet Bones” recipe found in Martha Stewart’s website. However, it was an horrigible failure.

Definately wanna try the “Browine Bits” the next round. Something just got to be successful eventually right?

Plan 2 Save

•October 8, 2009 • Leave a Comment

This sat is pledging day for building fund. Any kind of church funds and stuff is not new to me, since I’m practically born with the teachings of christianity. However, pledging it will be totally new and foreign to me. Even tithing every month is considered new.

Even thou I had always attended church all my life and taught about tithing and offering. I had never tithe before until I attended HOGC. Initially, I was pressured to pay my tithe. I find it such a pain to have to give up 200 bucks a month out from my pay, and always find myself short of money when it’s closer to end of the month. However, now I knew the importance of tithing and it had become a habit and also a must to put aside for God before I plan the rest of my budget.

It’s tougher to pledge for building fund thou. Since, I have no idea what it is like. And my new goal that comes with the new job is to save… Its about time I should start learn how to save up anyway.

So while I try to plan out how much I would require to pledge and save. I have first bring a water bottle with me. Probably help me save a bit more from not buying bottles or cans of drink from outside.

I decide to re-use the mineral plastic bottle and design it so I may love it enuff to carry it around (ok. yaya, I know dats sound so childish.)…

Miss Singapore quits after criminal record revealed

Thank God, Ris Low did not represent Singapore for Miss World 2009. If you have not seen her “horrigible” disability to speak or understand proper English, you should really load that youtube attached to see.

A standard version of “stupid blonde” in Asia version. I wonder how she scrap through all those competition with that crappy language of hers…
